The low down positioning of the batteries on the vehicle means that the exceptional handling and steady ride you expect from a standard Golf is enhanced. The e-golf offers four unique levels of regenerative braking the driver can choose to control the rate of the battery recharge. Three driving modes are also offered which tailor the characteristics of the drivetrain to suit the driver- Normal, Eco and Eco+ .
Range and Charging.
The e-Golf is expected to have a range of over 200km as the battery in the previous incarnation has been drive tested by the AA to achieve over 150km. The e-Golf comes with a trickle charger which will charge the vehicle overnight from a domestic power point.
