5 Tips to keep your Air-Conditioning Cool:
1: Don't Pre-Cool: Your car air conditioning works much better when you are actually driving your vehicle because the faster the engine turns the faster the air compressor runs, which lets the system cool more effectively. If the air in your vehicle is hot and stagnant open just the rear windows for 10-20 seconds. This forces all the hot air out of the cabin. Don't open the front windows as this only moves the heat out of the front of the car. 2: Go Low: Setting the A/C to lowest possible temperature and adjusting the fan makes the air conditioning more efficient, will dry the air out less and can help you save fuel. 3: Don't Reticulate (With Passengers): If you are carrying passengers in the rear of your vehicle, turn off reticulation mode. The system pulls air from the front of the cabin and pulls back through the system. Everyone in the front of the vehicle may stay cool and fresh but the air in the back can get warm and stale. 4: Make sure your Filter is clean: Next time you bring your vehicle into WR Phillips for a service, ask them to check your cabin air filter, as a dirty filter can prevent optimal airflow. These can be a little bit tricky to get at on some vehicles and can be a job best left to a qualified technician. Mitsubishi's 4WD system allows you to change traction modes on the move.
The Easy Select 4WD system has three settings, 2WD which is for on-road driving. 4WD High Range which is for off-road conditions (The Triton is the one of the only utes that can be driven on tarseal.) The third setting is 4WD low range which provides the vehicle's maximum traction off-road. The Super Select 4WD system is found on the VRX Triton and has four settings. 2H (2WD high range) for regular road driving this setting gives you power, solid handling and the best economy. 4H (full-time 4WD) If the weather or the road is not too flash, the ability to drive in high-range 4WD is a serious safety boost. 4HLC (4WD High-Range) When you are off-road this setting distributes power to all four wheels equally. 4LLC (4WD Low Range with Locked Centre Differential) This mode sends all the Triton's power and traction to the wheels. The Volkswagen Area View Camera supplies live images from around the car into the cockpit. This enables the driver to view his immediate surroundings through four cameras that provide an all-around perspective of the vehicles situation. The system helps when trying to maneuver the vehicle in tight areas or in difficult situations by removing the blind spots you would regularly expect. |
